Fun, Family, Friends, Food oh and a wee walk or run…The Gairloch West Coaster, 5k, 11k or 1/2 marathon

Gairloch Run For Fun Festival 2018 (or walk). No times, just fun, food, family, friends!

See more photos on our Facebook Page.

A huge thank you to the Gairloch Community Hall, Inverewe Gardens especially Connie, the Gairloch ATC, our other amazing Marshalls for braving the weather and providing water, safety and support, our First Aiders, our Motobike Marshall, Sara for the Massage and everyone else whom I have forgotten to mention.

The atmosphere at the event both before, during and after was amazing, a really friendly enthusiastic informal gathering with new friends, old friends and 3 generations of families participating in the Festival. With the last few ‘on the day’ registrations we had nearly 60 participants for all 3 Fun Runs.

Cape Wrath Challenge Marathon (21 May 2016) Results

A group of club athletes who wanted something different to start their summer season headed up to Cape Wrath for a tough marathon, which includes a boat trip across the Kyle of Durness before the last few miles. Quick times were recorded by all so a very well done to them.

This is part of a running festival week with many other events in this beautiful area, which may well become a fixture on the club calendar.
